There quite simply is no other band like The Touch. Though widely regarded as the most popular cover band in the tri-state area for over 30 years, they show no signs of relinquishing their firm grip on the top spot. Long known for their musical and vocal precision, The Touch continues to draw loyal fans that appreciate the band's perfectionistic approach to their craft. Their versions of the latest contemporary, alternative and dance music have made them the champions of the tri-state, live music scene.
The Touch covers a wide variety of music ranging from the 40's through the most current material of 2017! The Touch is fronted by vocalist Jeff Herbst, who emulates the original artists, even duplicating female vocalists with uncanny ability. People turn their heads on the dance floor and can't believe that Jeff is actually singing.
With an array of synthesizers, Bob Zanfardino on keyboards is his own orchestra and is often referred to as the "human sequencer." He's amazing. Chris Tibaldi on drums is the band's rock solid foundation. Chris' flexibility allows him to master any beat. On bass guitar is Mike Maisano, who excels in all styles of music. The many receptions and corporate events at which they have performed include: The 2004 Republican National Convention in NYC, The Metropolitan Breast Cancer Benefits at The Central Park Boathouse, The Childrens Aid Society benefit, The New York Athletic Club in NYC, the 2005 Inaugural gala for the NY delegates in Washington DC, and Rachel Rays Burger Bash from 2008 through 2011. "The Touch was absolutely incredible at our wedding - they catered to the young, old and us 20-30-somethings in-between. Their musicianship is on point, the set-list was varied, they learned two songs we wanted played and played them flawlessly.
The happiness The Touch exuded turned the reception into a true celebration. And if your concern is the lack of a female singer, with The Touch, it isn't even necessary. The lead and backing vocals are so on point - even with female fronted songs - that it doesn't even make a difference.
So, The Touch gets a 10/10 but Barbara at Omnipop gets an 11/10 because she was absolutely wonderful to work with, with no pressure or hassling. She helped us every step of the way, and truly cared about our wedding and well-being. If we had to do it all over again, this is still the way we would do it."
"I freely admit I am going into this a little biased because I have seen The Touch play at other venues and about 4 years ago they played my friends wedding however I can tell you in that moment I knew whenever it was time for me to get married I had to have The Touch!
We danced all night and it couldn't have been a better party. Fast forward to this past July, I was lucky enough to have The Touch play at my outside Farm wedding. They were incredible. So many people couldn't get over the range if their voices.
Everyone from our older guests to our younger bridal party made comments how it was the best band they've seen play. They were engaging with the crowd, kept people on the dance floor and can play almost anything. It was an incredible night and I highly recommend The Touch!"
"My husband and I were at a NYC Food and Wine Event a few years ago when we first saw/heard The Touch perform. We were hooked! We instantly loved their sound, energy, and their ability to perform anything and everything. So when it came time to plan our wedding, the second we had a date and venue, we booked them.
With all the stress that comes with wedding planning, Barbara made this area seamless and totally stress free. The Touch did not disappoint. I walked down the aisle to the tune of an acoustic guitar, and the party took off right after. Their lead vocalist has a ridiculous vocal range.
Don't be fooled by this 5 man crew--- their power packs a punch and offers the versatility of bands 2 or 3 times the size. They have unbelievable energy, kept our guests dancing all night, and I would recommend them to anyone who will listen. Hands down, best decision. What a pleasure to work with-- can't wait for another opportunity to do it again!"
"The Touch Band with Omnipop Talent Group is a perfect wedding band. My employer has used them several times for Christmas parties/events and we have loved them every time.
Once we started planning our wedding The Touch was one of the first vendors we booked because we had to have them as our wedding entertainment. These guys are professional and extremely talented and can play anything requested very well.
We could not have been happier with this band selection. Guests are still talking about the quality of the songs and how they kept the dance floor busy the entire evening at our wedding. My brother is getting married next summer and he has already booked The Touch. We highly recommend them."
